Sendo a vida contemporânea cada vez mais complexa e descontínua é exigido ao Homem que se molde e adapte às mais diversas situações, não só ao longo da sua vida, mas também ao longo do seu dia. Esta necessidade é transversal ao vestuário. Os designers actuais procuram produzir roupa flexível e condizente com o maior número de realidades.
Na procura de alcançar uma solução que sirva o maior número de indivíduos muitos designers têm desenvolvido peças de vestuário que se modificam e transformam de acordo com as carências do utilizador. Contudo estas peças que se metamorfoseiam apresentam ainda várias restrições quanto à variedade de opções oferecidas ao consumidor.
Este blog pretende ser um veículo de divulgação de uma investigação de carácter prático, no âmbito do Mestrado de Design de Moda da Faculdade de Arquitectura de Lisboa. A investigação intitulada "Vestuário transformável: O contributo de um novo sistema modular" tem como propósito o desenvolvimento de um modelo de construção de vestuário que seja mutável e que assente nos princípios do vestuário modular como forma de contornar algumas das limitações do vestuário transformável.
Fashion had always tried to offered solutions to man´s needs through clothes. Modern life has generated new hurries and needs. Nowadays we must adapt quickly to different situations and the clothes we wear have an important role to play in the harmony between man and his surroundings. We need functional, versatile and adaptable clothing to face the unpredictable new times. The conventional clothing is not yet sufficiently adjusted to meet the demands of the metropolis fast life.
Some fashion designers have been developing clothing to answer these problems. Based on transformation principles they seek to fulfill consumer’s new needs through transformable clothes. Although it seems the perfect solution, these garments still present some limitations on the range of possibilities and variations offered.
This blog is a way to disseminate a practical research, within the framework of the master of Fashion Design at the Faculdade de Aquitectura de Lisboa. The research titled "Transformable Clothing: the contribution of a new modular system" has as its purpose the development of a model construction of clothing that is changeable and that is based on the principles of modular clothing as a way to overcome some of the limitations of transformable clothing.
